I'm expanding veggie garden I will have 2"x12"x22 boards buried about 4" in the ground . Also adding a 2nd plot about half the size. Then another location for chayote squash I'm in zone 8b Ponchatoula Louisiana. Going to try many heirloom and foreign veggies.Of course flowers for hummingbirds and butterflies and blooms for pollinaters..If the weather cooperates , I'll get to work
We are developing a Community Plant / Flower / Fruit / Vegetable Garden for Veterans and for individuals that have challenges in their lives. This garden will provide healing and therapy for them. We want this flower garden be a haven / habitat for birds, bees, butterflies, and be a display for beautiful and fragrant flowers .
We encourages anyone with suggestions and opinions on your favorite flowers and roses to grow . Thank you so much.

Brand new to the app...just setting up my raised bed garden plans. I cannot figure out how to set up my individual planter boxes to my exact dimensions. I click on the corner to expand it...but it won't let me fiddle with the exact size. It shows me width and length...but they seem fixed. How can I enter the exact dimensions of my already established raised beds?
Hello, new friends. I am in zone 7. Smack dab on the line of 7a and 7b. I'm so glad that Growfully With Jenna did a video about this site, yesterday. It took pertnear all day but, I got all three of my gardens created yesterday. I look forward to learning new things!

Is there a way to change the orientation of the plants to match my layout not being perpendicular to the page.
my garden is not square to my property line. Theres no handle to rotate the plants.
John Ehrling Hi Mike. Plants that are grown in rows can be planted vertically or horizontally. Larger plants grown standalone, can be rotated with the extra long handle
Lisa That's not working for me. Sometimes clicking on the piece I've added works but more times it doesn't respond to even clicking on it, let alone moving it around by the long piece. I once got one of the beds to widen but could not get it to lengthen downward. Is this a beta version? I'm unable to glean explanation for this from the 2 hortisketch videos.
John Ehrling Hi Lisa, Hortisketch is fully functional. Since it is web-based sometimes certain web browsers can cause issues. Which web browser are you using and is it up to date with the latest version? The long piece is for rotation. To move the icon around the space you click in the middle, directly onto the icon. Today I enjoyed spending quality time with my little one, all the will sowed seeds for herbs and peppers. Also attempting the crossing of peppers.

I'm not sure of which.
Here's a photo of my tomatoes and peppers from a few years ago - it's getting to be time to think about what seeds to start in preparation for spring, even though my garden is under about 6 inches of snow at the moment, here in Southwestern Ohio. I have an article that I just posted on my blog that I wrote about tomatoes, if anyone is interested I can post a link in the comments!
